Eddie Debating Returning Shirts He Wore for the Cruise

Eddie bought some clothing for the Top Shelf Country Cruise The Bobby Bones Show just went on. Some of the clothes he wore on the trip, while others remained unused. After returning home, he began considering taking all of the items back to the store.

He explained that he bought three shirts in total. Two of them he wore during the cruise, and one still had the tag and stickers attached because it was never worn. He felt comfortable returning the one with the tag, but he was also thinking about returning the two he had already worn. The shirts were described as Hawaiian-style cruise wear, and Eddie said he did not expect to wear them again. Although he usually enjoys beach-related clothing, he said these shirts felt a little too big and “fluffy,” which made him unsure about keeping them. Some show members questioned whether it was appropriate to return clothing that had already been worn. Amy said that once something has been used, her integrity would not allow her to return it. If she no longer wanted the item, she would rather give it away than bring it back to the store. Eddie argued that wearing a shirt once should not necessarily prevent someone from returning it. He gave a hypothetical example of wearing a shirt out and receiving negative feedback from people about how it looked or fit. In that case, he felt someone could say they were not satisfied and attempt to return it.

Bobby pointed out that there is a difference between whether a store will accept a return and whether someone should make that return. He suggested Eddie could take the unworn shirt back without hesitation. For the others, they recommended being honest with the store and explaining that the shirts were worn, but didn’t fit the way he expected. The store might still accept the return, or they might refuse based on their policy. Eddie said he would probably not take the honest approach. Instead, he suggested saying he tried the shirts on, removed the tags, and realized they did not fit correctly. Lunchbox admitted he had once worn a pair of shoes to a wedding, cleaned them afterward, and attempted to return them. When the store asked if the shoes had been worn, he admitted it and said they did not fit properly. The store still refunded the money.

The conversation then shifted to whether Eddie would feel comfortable with that decision. He said he would. Someone asked what he would teach his kids to do in the same situation. Eddie joked that his kids would never know about it. This led to a discussion about parenting and whether there are things adults do that their children never need to know about. Eddie agreed that there are definitely situations like that. When asked directly if he would teach his kids to return something they had worn, Eddie said yes. Others disagreed, saying they would not teach their kids to return items that had already been used. Eddie clarified that the shirts were slightly too big, explaining that sometimes clothing labeled as a certain size can still fit incorrectly. Bobby told Eddie that trying items on before buying them could have prevented the issue.

In the end, the advice given was simple: return the shirt that still had the tag attached, and keep the others since they had already been worn. Eddie said the decision felt difficult because returning them would save him a good amount of money. When asked where he bought the shirts, he revealed they came from Target.
