Carrie Underwood admitted she “did not expect to get all emotional” after she performed her Las Vegas residency for the final time.

Underwood recapped the electrifying residency with a compilation of footage captured by photographer and videographer Jeff Johnson over the years. The American Idol 2005 champion and current judge became the first and longest-running resident headliner at Resorts World Theatre when she performed the opening night of REFLECTION on December 1, 2021.

“I’m nervous. I’m scared. I’m excited. …Let’s do this,” the history-making country star said backstage when she played the first show.

The video Underwood shared on Tuesday (April 15) takes a look back at Underwood’s glamorous photoshoots, behind-the-scenes looks at the rehearsals, fiery stage pieces, jaw dropping aerial work, glimpses of the captivating performances over the years, and more. Underwood performed her final REFLECTION show on Saturday (April 12).

“I did not expect to get all emotional,” Underwood tearfully admitted when she returned backstage after performing the epic finale under a waterfall. “(It was) a great crowd.

“We just wrapped our very last show of REFLECTION here at Resorts World,” Underwood continued after changing out of her stage wear. “It was a really great night. I feel like everybody was just taking in every moment. The crowd was absolutely incredible, and it was so much fun. It was a great way to end — it was weird saying ‘goodbye’ at the end instead of ‘good night.’ But it felt appropriate. And cheers to whatever’s next.”
