Morgan Wallen’s I’m The Problem will arrive on May 16.
The reigning Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year made the long-awaited announcement on Thursday morning (March 20), one day after announcing his Saturday Night Live performance and less than one week after the singer-songwriter confirmed his fourth studio album “is officially done.” At that time, he promised “more news for y’all next week.” Wallen also confirmed Thursday morning that he’ll debut two new tracks from the upcoming record to kick off the weekend on Friday (March 21), “I’m A Little Crazy” and “Just In Case.” Wallen recently shared sneak peeks of both unreleased ballads as he stirred anticipation for his album announcement.
Wallen teamed up with a group of core collaborators at his farm outside of Nashville, Tennessee, where he wrote and refined the I’m The Problem track list over the course of nearly a year, per a press release issued Thursday morning. Wallen — plus producers Joey Moi and Charlie Handsome, and others — delved into deep reflections about his past throughout the album-making process as he looked ahead to what’s next.
“I have been a problem, for sure, and I've got no problem admitting that,” Wallen said in a statement. “But there are other sides to me as well. I've spent the last 11 months really trying to figure out, 'Do I still want to be the problem? Is it time to move past that phase in my life?' I think it probably is, and this might be the last time I get a chance to honestly say it.”
I’m The Problem will arrive the same weekend as Wallen’s three-day, genre-blending music festival, the Sand In My Boots Festival, which sold out in a matter of hours. The event takes place from May 16 through 18, 2025 in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Wallen, who curated the lineup, is headlining the festival with Post Malone, Brooks & Dunn and HARDY. The following month, Wallen will kick off his headlining “I’m The Problem Tour,” with a rotating lineup that includes Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and Koe Wetzel as direct support, and Gavin Adcock, Corey Kent, Ella Langley and Anne Wilson on select dates.
