Bad Bunny opted for a futuristic theme when he joined Julieta Venegas and Tainy for their 2021 American Music Awards performance of "Lo Siento BB :/."

The sci-fi-themed performance of the track, which dropped in October, saw the trio take the Microsoft Theater stage at the Cardi B-hosted ceremony on Sunday (November 21). Tainy kicked things off from atop a platform on stage with his keyboard in tow as a video of Venegas appeared on a headpiece of the musician as she dressed as an avatar and played the piano to the collaboration. Cameras soon panned to the top of the venue, where a masked Bad Bunny appeared on a floating orb stage, which lit up and swayed amid his rap. “Lo Siento BB :/” is set to be featured on Tainy’s debut album, Data.

"Working with Tainy is always a pleasure. The world knows that when we get together we make magic," Bad Bunny previously said in a press release about the star-studded team-up. “What's so special about this track? That in this one I have the honor of sharing vocals on the same track with Julieta Venegas, something I never imagined and that's why it fills me with so much emotion."

Meanwhile, Venegas spoke about the depth of the track's backstory. "It's a song that talks about not believing in love, wanting just a fun night and that's it, but mostly out of fear, I like that love comes out portrayed as someone who cheats 'that guy always lies to me,' " Venegas said at the time. "As if it were a person. So, my response was: I also thought it would be just another night but something changed."
