Kandi Burruss is now a mommy of three!
The R&B singer-songwriter and her husband, Todd Tucker, welcomed a daughter via surrogate on Friday (November 22), Entertainment Tonight confirmed. Per the site, the couple named their baby girl Blake Tucker, and she was born at 6:54 p.m. and weighed 8 lbs, 1 oz. This is the lovebirds’ second child after welcoming their son, Ace, three years ago. Burruss also has a 17-year-old daughter, Riley, and Tucker a daughter, Kaela, from a previous relationship.
The reality stars announced they were expecting another child together in September.
The former Xscape member previously revealed the pair’s surrogacy plans in a November 2018 interview with Us Weekly. “We did find someone, and right now we are in the process — you know it hasn’t been done — but we’re in the process,” the Bravo star told the outlet at the time. “We have two embryos that are still left from when we had Ace. So, we have two embryos left and we know they’re girls.”
Burruss also admitted that she was nervous about using a surrogate, a new method of conception for the duo, unlike IVF, which they used to conceive 3-year-old Ace. “I don’t have anybody who can tell me [about it],” she added. “When we were going through the IVF process, I did have a couple of friends who had done it, so, you know, I could talk to them, but this is a situation where I don’t have anybody I can talk to.”
As yet, neither Burruss nor Tucker has publicly announced the birth of their daughter on social media, though ET appears to have obtained Baby Blake’s first photo — head over here to take a look!
