The Chili Open is back for 2025, helping to raise money for Project Self-Sufficiency' Housing Initiative. The Chili Open Golf Classic is played on a makeshift course at Sussex County Fairgrounds. Golfers play two out of four nine-hole, par three courses. Lunch will feature a selection of beverages, chili, and other fare.
Plus, live music from R.E.N.O. the Band, a putting contest, raffles and a 50/50
Rotary Clubs from Branchville, Newton, and Wallkill are instrumental in organizing and serving breakfast and lunch, staffing a cash bar, and providing souvenir photos of the golfers, among other event assistance.
Funds raised by the Chili Open will be directed to Project Give Shelter, a Project Self-Sufficiency initiative to help Sussex County residents address emergency housing needs.
