Maren Morris teased “something better than a valentine,” set to release on Thursday (February 15), one day after Valentine’s Day.

The award-winning artist shared a sneak peek video on her Instagram story on Wednesday morning (February 14). It captured Morris taking the stage and dancing through Grimey’s, a staple music store in East Nashville, Tennessee. The video is simply captioned with Thursday’s date and Morris letting her Instagram followers know that she has “something better than a valentine coming tomorrow 👀”

Morris’ latest music release is The Bridge, a two-track collection that arrived in September 2023. Morris, who is also set to debut a children’s book this spring, released “The Tree” and “Get The Hell Out Of Here” on The Bridge. Together, the two songs honor “where I’ve been and but also feels like a forward step into the sun,” she said at that time. She added that she’d been working “nonstop” on her next full-length project, and “realized these two songs deserved a moment on their own - a story in their own right, written a day apart from each other - a tender duo and bridge to my next album.”

The teaser also comes shortly after Morris finalized her divorce from fellow singer-songwriter Ryan Hurd after five years of marriage. Morris, 33, and Hurd, 37, parted ways because of “irreconcilable differences,” and will split time evenly with son Hayes Andrew Hurd, who turns 4 next month.
