According to the NJ Herald, the United States is facing a shortage of blood, but you can help out on March 9 as the Frankford Township Municipal Building will host a blood drive to honor National Red Cross Month.

The Monday, March 9 drive will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 151 Route 206 in Frankford Township.

Donors of all blood types are welcome and it is encouraged that you make an appointment at redcross.org by using sponsor code "FrankfordTWP." You can also call 1-800-RED-CROSS to inquire more.

This blood drive comes after Frankford officials heard about the shortage and wanted to be "proactive," therefore hosting their first drive.

Administrative assistant, Katie Radler said their goal is to have at least 35 people sign up.

Don't miss your chance. Make an appointment now!
