Man Stabs Lyft Driver & Passenger in Union County

According to NJ.com, a Lyft driver and his passenger were stabbed yesterday (April 24) in Union County by the third person that was in their car.

The driver picked up a 20-year-old woman and another man in Bloomfield, as their destination was to Rahway. According to police, the man and woman knew each other.

Police are calling the attack "unprovoked," as 27-year-old Farrakhan S. Howard stabbed the victims with a screwdriver.

Clark police found the driver with stab wounds and cuts to his head and the woman with stab wounds and cuts to her face and head, as well.

Both victims are in serious condition at the University Hospital in Newark.
