A contest is now open for Sussex County students in grades 6-8 to design a patriotic pin to be given to veterans at the annual Sussex County Salute To Veterans, which will be held at the fairgrounds in November.

The New Jersey Herald states that entries from students in local schools and those who are home schooled are welcome and will be accepted.

For contest guidelines and details, check out the NJ Herald article here. But do not worry, students have until June 7 to come up with their most creative idea.

Hosting the Sussex County Salute To Veterans event is the Sussex County Board of Chosen Freeholders, the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Senior Services and the Sussex County Veterans Committee.

For more information about the pin contest, please contact the Sussex County Division of Senior Services at (973) 579-0555, ext. 1226 or email seniorservices@sussex.nj.us.
