NJ.com reported that a woman who was a former contestant on "American Idol" and "Fear Factor" was arrested last October in Virginia with charges for having nearly two pounds of fentanyl. She is now allowed to live with her parents in New Jersey while she awaits trial.
32-year-old Antonella Barba will be released today (Feb. 21) with a monitor to make certain she follows her curfew.
This month, Barba was indicted on charges of conspiracy to distribute cocaine, heroin and fentanyl. Barba was also a courier for a drug ring, according to prosecutors.
Previously, Barba had been charged with shoplifting in New York and also has a felony marijuana case pending in Kansas.
Back in 2007, she reached the top 16 contestants on "American Idol," which was the year Jordin Sparks won. She then competed on the show "Fear Factor" in 2012.
James Broccoletti, Barba's attorney, declined to comment on the situation.
