Earlier today, widespread social media users were having trouble accessing their paychecks and direct deposits with their Wells Fargo online banking and mobile accounts, following a major outage on Feb. 7.

According to USA Today , technical difficulties hit Wells Fargo's online banking and mobile app on Thursday after a power shutdown caused by smoke that was detected at a data center in Shoreview, Minn.

Wells Fargo released late Thursday that the ATM services have been restored, along with online and mobile banking being "operational" except for consumer credit card and mortgage balances.

After various customer tweets about issues with their direct deposits, Wells Fargo stated they are aware of the issue and are sorry for the inconvenience.

If you were one of the customers affected by this outage, hopefully you were able to sort things out, if not, Wells Fargo encourages you to reach out with any concerns.
