It's Officially Official: Dunkin' Donuts Changed Their Name to Dunkin'

If you haven't heard, today is National Hot Chocolate Day, and what's more perfect than on a day where temperatures are at a low of -2 and a possible high of 14?! So, I decided to head to Dunkin' Donuts this morning and grab a nice warm hot chocolate.

When I got to the office I noticed my cup only said Dunkin' on it. Which I remember hearing at the end of 2018 that they were planning to drop the "donuts" part from their name. Well, sure enough I checked back on articles from September when they announced the change would be coming. The plan was to release the "new" name in January. So, here we are, January 2019 and Dunkin' Donuts is now officially just Dunkin'. I am not 100% sure when the new cups debuted, but today was my moment to recognize it and share it with you all.

You can check out the September article from NPR news here , on why they planned to change the name.

Honestly, I have always referred to the coffee chain as Dunkin' so I like it! Plus, their phrase has always been "America Runs On Dunkin'" which you can see in the picture I posted.

What do you guys think of the change?

Make sure you go out (or stay in) and treat yourself to some hot chocolate on this chilly winter day to acknowledge its delicious national day!
