According to NJ.com, parents in Middlesex County posted on social media to help them find a thief that stole $1,000 from a Girl Scout Troop selling cookies at the Woodbridge Center mall on Jan. 18.
Jessica Medina wrote on Facebook, "Girl Scout Troop 80062 was blindsided and robbed of our money. Please help. Any information would be greatly appreciated."
Woodbridge police reported that the money was stolen between 4:20 p.m. and 4:50 p.m. on Friday from the Girl Scout's cookie sales table. Their table was located in the Boscov's department store wing, near Chic-fil-A.
Capt. Scott Kuzma stated about $500 in cash and multiple checks were taken which was inside an envelope that was laying on the table, unattended.
