A Jersey Cash 5 ticket was bought by a lucky lottery player, when he won the $522,531 jackpot yesterday, Jan. 17.
According to NJ.com, state lottery officials say the ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven in Piscataway on Shelton Road and just so happened to match ALL FIVE numbers.
The winning numbers were 1, 6, 28, 38, and 43 with the XTRA number being 2.
This drawing rose to above the half-million dollar mark after there had been four straight drawings throughout the day, without a lucky big winner.
Today's jackpot will reset to $75,000.
These Jersey Cash 5 tickets cost only $1, with the odds of winning the jackpot being 962,589 to 1.
