Every year around the holiday season, the lines to meet Santa can be very hectic, long and noisy. Oftentimes, this can be very difficult for children who have special sensory needs.
This year, the Rockaway Townsquare Mall will be hosting a "Caring Santa" session with Santa, specifically designed to make a visit with Santa accessible to all children.
During this private session, children will be able to take a photo with Santa and interact with him in an environment that makes them comfortable.
The Rockaway Townsquare Mall will be adjusting this environment to fit the sensory, physical and developmental needs of children with all disabilities.
These "Caring Santa" sessions will take place on Dec. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Preregistration is required. Check out the link here.
