On Saturday Dec. 1, the Children's Brain Tumor Family Foundation (CBTFF) will be having an inaugural "Head for the Holidays" USATF sanctioned 5K Run/Walk in order to raise money for research on rare and inoperable pediatric brain tumors.

This event will take place at the Mack-Cali Business Complex, located on Campus Drive in Parsippany. 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit CBTFF. For those who may not know, CBTFF is a volunteer-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization which helps raise awareness and fund research done at the Children's Brain Tumor Project. This Project is part of the Weill Cornell Medical Center at Memorial Sloan Kettering.

Runners and walkers of all ages can attend and strollers are welcome. Holiday attire is encouraged, but not required.

A virtual event for those who cannot attend the actual event has been established here.

Participants who register by Nov. 17 will receive a free t-shirt, but after this date, t-shirts will not be guaranteed.

For more information on sponsorship, registration and more, check out the Parsippany Patch or visit the CBTFF site here
