11-year-old Matt Adonis of Morris County has been a huge NY Rangers fan and loves spending time on the ice hockey rink. Unfortunately, he has battled cancer through his life and recently had to put his passion to play the game on hold.
Matt became eligible for his own Wish with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Since he is a big Rangers fan, he wished for a themed clubhouse where he can hangout with friends.
On Oct. 5, his wish came true! The Make-A-Wish team worked with the Garden of Dreams Foundation in order to make his dream come true. His new Rangers Clubhouse sits directly in his backyard for easy access to lounge with friends and family.
But that is not the only wish or surprise Matt was given... Former Ranger Adam Graves wanted to take part in the wish and hung out in the clubhouse to surprise Matt and his sister Mady. Graves spent the day with them enjoying lunch and talking about hockey.
Matt has been cancer free for three months, so hopefully in time he will be able to fulfill his dream of playing on the ice as a NY Ranger himself.
