Wantage Township and Sussex Borough invite neighbors, local businesses, and visitors to gather for a monumental community festival honoring the 250th Anniversary of Our Nation. This historic milestone kicks off on Saturday, July 18, 2026, with a grand Patriotic Parade marching through the heart of Sussex Borough at 2:00 PM. Following the parade, the festivities shift to Woodbourne Park, located at 145 Sherman Ridge Road in Wantage, where the park gates open for a community celebration starting at 5:00 PM. The evening lineup features a packed schedule of family-friendly entertainment, including a bounce house, unique community demonstrations, an array of local food trucks, and a live performance by the contemporary country group Tennessee Honey Band starting at 5:30 PM. The landmark celebration will culminate in a magnificent public display of fireworks at dusk. In the event of severe weather, a planned rain date is scheduled for Sunday, July 19. Local organizations, clubs, and businesses are highly encouraged to participate by marching or entering a custom float.
